On May 19-20, 2011 the III Investment Forum “Udmurtia: heading for modernization” was held in Izhevsk. The purpose of the event was to present the Udmurt Republic, its industrial, agricultural and scientific potential, large investment projects, that are under realization, and ones that are planned to be realized on the territory of the region.

The forum was attended by representatives of the federal and regional public authorities of the legislative and executive branches, financial-and-credit institutions, industrial and agricultural enterprises, research institutions, Russian business community and mass-media.

Business part of the program included a plenary meeting, an exhibition of the investment projects and investment areas of the Udmurt Republic, panel discussions on several subject matters.

The “NPC Springs” company took part in the exhibition of the projects and the “Mechanisms of region’s innovative development” panel discussion. One of the participants was Vladimir Kutergin, Director General of the company, PhD, Professor. The subject of his speech was the NPC “Springs” LLC as an example of science and business interaction”. At the session the following persons spoke as well: Deputy Minister of Economics of the Udmurt Republic Ivan Lysov, Deputy Chief of the Economic Development Department of the Kirov region Sergey Banin, provost for academic affairs of the Udmurt State University Nikolay Leonov and others. The moderator of the round table was Minister of Education and Science of the Udmurt Republic Andrey Kuznetsov.

United Wagon Company completes a deal on purchasing 100% shares of NPC Springs

Railway holding United Wagon Company (UWC) has completed a deal on purchasing of 100% shares of NPC Springs from RUSNANO and Izhmash. Therefore, NPC Springs becomes a UWC's plant asset, specializing in production of high strength rail springs for Tikhvin Freight Car Building Plant (TVSZ). The deal value and IRR are not disclosed.
