NPC “Springs”, LLC enrolled in the “Union of Industries of Railway Equipment”.

NPC “Springs” became the member of the “Union of Industries of Railway Equipment” in Moscow on September 7, 2011.
The next meeting of the Manufacturers of freight wagons and their components coordination Committee of the NP “UIRE” this time will be held at the premises of NPC “Springs” in Izhevsk on September 29-30, 2011. One of the main issues considered will be possibilities to enhance the application of the super strong springs in the running gears of freight wagons.
The Non-commercial Partnership “Union of Industries of Railway Equipment” (NP “UIRE”) was founded by the OJSC “Russian Railways”, CJSC “Transmashholding”, PLC “Corporate management company “Concern “Tractor plants” and Society from limited liability “Russian corporation of transport mechanical engineering” in Russia in June 15, 2007.
Aims and objectives of the Partnership:
  • assistance in realization of the technical policy in railway machine building, creation of the new generation rolling stock and high-performance products based on innovations development;
  • establishment of the system of technical regulations in railway machine building;
  • development of the new regulatory environment and system of national and industry standards in railway machine building;
  • improvement of the quality control systems and implementation of the international standard IRIS;
  • development of the facultative certification system in railway machine building.
For today 115 companies from 33 constituent entities of the Russian Federation are the members of the Partnership. More than 180 thousand people work at the enterprises of the Partnership and the production volume exceeds 6 billion euro.

United Wagon Company completes a deal on purchasing 100% shares of NPC Springs

Railway holding United Wagon Company (UWC) has completed a deal on purchasing of 100% shares of NPC Springs from RUSNANO and Izhmash. Therefore, NPC Springs becomes a UWC's plant asset, specializing in production of high strength rail springs for Tikhvin Freight Car Building Plant (TVSZ). The deal value and IRR are not disclosed.
