The NPC "Springs" LLC took part in the first Congress of the enterprises operating in nanoindustry, which was held on September 19, 2012 in Moscow.

The Congress was planned to be as an inter-branch communication platform for discussing the most topical issues of the nanoindustry development. Over 400 representatives of domestic nanotechnological enterprises, scientific-and-research and educational organizations, industry experts took part in the work of the congress.

Within the frame of the event four roundtables, devoted to the key directions of the nanoindustry development, were organized: “Uniform standards and the best regulation practices in the nanoindustry - sustainable development of the innovative enterprises", "Protection of employers’ investments in the development of workforce potential of the enterprises", “Creation and development of home markets of nanotechnological products" and "Innovative infrastructure: resources and opportunities for the business development".

The congress has become an important discussion platform for the participants of the nanotechnological products market; within the congress’s frames the directions of development and related problems were set forth, proposals concerning possible ways of their solution were made.

Such topics, as creation and development of markets of nanotechnological products, training of the personnel for the new industry, technical regulation, standardization and functioning of the innovative infrastructure were discussed during the congress. The discussions had a format of the roundtables and plenary meetings.

Railway holding United Wagon Company (UWC) has completed a deal on purchasing of 100% shares of NPC Springs from RUSNANO and Izhmash. Therefore, NPC Springs becomes a UWC's plant asset, specializing in production of high strength rail springs for Tikhvin Freight Car Building Plant (TVSZ). The deal value and IRR are not disclosed.
